day 18- A script Set in the year you were born

Welome all once again to day  18-  a script set in the year you were born.  So what a great year to write a script about, where the world welcomed your one truly into it. I went about thinking much  like i did with the 70's script ; looking at the historical events, fads and toys. What i learnt was alot happened, the birth of ' Fresh prince of bell air, the Game boy was the dream for every child and  Margret Thatcher  resigned from her role as PM; giving hope to all the school children dreaming of getting their milk back. but one thing struck out to me was the news that was coming out from South Africa. Little did i know, whilst i was tucked away in the womb of my mother, big changes were happening in South Africa that would change the political landscape of the country. so please enjoy 4664 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1F6zdiqColJcmdL43Rv_1hfmQMiltCiYT/view?usp=sharing

R- Day 17- a script written with someone else.

On to script number 2, So here we go  a script written with someone else, and what a great challenge for the middle of the week. so as i have previously mentioned , i wouldn't have started this journey with out Chris Townsend, so it was only fitting that we complete this challenge together. Chris had come up with the idea a couple of days ago and proposed the idea, which really is genius. He works on one of my scripts and in return i work  on one of his and submit as a joint effort. Chris went onto select 'Conkers' and did a fantastic job of cleaning it up and giving it  another level of charm to what it had already. so thanks once again for sprucing it up ! As for me i went and had a read of all of Chris's submissions over this challenge (and if your interested in following his  journey ,as we complete this challenge click the link below) and found it hard as to me , all his work looked fantastic and the ideas were all pretty solid . https://3030lockdown.blogspot.co...

G- day 16- A script based of a classic Favourite

sorry this is extreeeeemly late but this is day 16 on day 17.  to be honest a can  only blame myself, didn't feel up to writing day 16 on the actual day. escaped the Pandemic and sort of had a normal day of going onto the shopping strip and even enjoying a coffee from a shop that was offering takeaway so took full advantage. So a day late i give you the script based on a classic favourite. This one in particular has been based on  a film that i have always enjoyed watching, just on the fact that the writer risked everything for his dream, maxing everything on his credit cards and working on the filming around his home town , even using the shop he used to work .  So in homage this piece is based on one of my first jobs. so please enjoy  The Grotto. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JRM81W79iFw6KJ-d8GZaq1GDW2aUvDzl/view?usp=sharing

A- day 15- a script based off another work

Hello all and welcome to the beginning of week 3 and thank you all who are still sticking around and checking out my work.  so the start of the week brings a new challenge and today was a great one to start it off. a script based off another work. Now luckily i had something to submit as one of my modules was based around adaptation so i had a few scripts that i had previously had the opportunity to work on. So the work i have based the script off or adapted from stage to screen , is a stage play called 'Art'. A couple of my friends had previously performed in this play and hearing about it thought it would be a great opportunity to adapt it . so please enjoy ART. https://drive.google.com/file/d/19CCBmZKDWn07mCNPGkfHXVBf6j0krzQr/view?usp=sharing

W- Day 14- a script based around a Wedding.

hello all and welcome to the end of week 2 of the script Challenge , and I must say I'm surprised that I'm staying on track and completing two of the challenge. Now today's challenge is too write something based on a wedding. I woke up this morning with an idea already in mind for this challenge, something  that i wanted to write , but never got round to putting ink onto paper. The idea about this script was based around a song by Reel Big Fish a ska band that featured in Basketball( south Park creators). the song in mind was  'She has a girlfriend now.'   I wasn't able to finish it as i think it might have potential for a feature, but hopefully i can revisit this later on and draw inspiration from other films like road trip, american pie etc. so please enjoy  Wedding Trip. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MOwA4kqDBCtZPdwPjAbCyDbCJGYkiPVk/view?usp=sharing

P- Day 13- a script set in the 70's

welcome back, and thanks to all that are still joining me as i re discover script writing . So here we are on day 13 and script set in the 70's.  So starting the day , i didn't have a clue of what to write .  I did a bit of research about the decade, the music, the fads of the decade, political movements , TV etc. For a moment i thought of writing a buddy cop script , but came across something that was completely bonkers and just ran with it. With disco music and my flares on, i got to writing and came up with this little number. So please enjoy The Unusual Pet. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1re7Udo-cVMRLLa448JCyZ37uhfgeughV/view?usp=sharing

C-Day 12- a script set in your Pre teens

Hello  all   and we are almost two weeks in so let get set for day 12- a script set in you pre teens. now this script that i wrote was inspired on my first days of arriving in the UK, being from South Africa , we never had this game growing up, but when i first arrived on the school play grounds of the UK, i was met with Conkers. A game that involved smashing  horse chestnuts  against others chestnuts, an game that blew my mind. So much that i started collecting them and at the end of the day had a huge bag of them ready to be baked  or soaked in vinegar to harden and become formidable  against my foes.  so please enjoy  Conkers. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VGMDlpGFJDuTDTudpS-XFwRDFHZtp3cF/view?usp=sharing
